Turkey'S Textile Exports To The EU Rank Second

According to the Eurostat report of the European Union official statistics agency, Turkey ranked second in the countries exporting textiles and clothing to EU countries.

Compared with 2006, the number of textiles and clothing imported from EU countries in 2007 increased by 4.3% to 78 billion 600 million euros.

In 2007, the import of textiles and clothing from EU countries increased by 6.5% from Turkey to 12 billion 600 million euros in 2006.

In 2007, Turkey's market share in the EU rose to 16.1%, up from 15.8% in 2006. Turkey ranked second in the EU export countries, after China, and China's market share in the EU was 34.6%.
